Connecting people with nature through education and exploration
From gardening practices to nature study to cooking classes and everything in between – the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden offers a full range of engaging activities for adults, families and children of all ages.
The Garden offers weekend, evening and weekday classes and programs year-round. No matter your interest, background or level of knowledge, you are sure to find something that will connect you to nature.
Through our programs and sustainable facility, the Garden fosters an appreciation and understanding of the relationship between people and nature and encourages a sense of stewardship toward the natural environment.
It is with much appreciation that the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden received a generous grant of $2,000 from the local organization Central Coast Funds for Children (CCFC) on December 17, 2014. The CCFC grant will directly fund outdoor science and arts based children’s education programs by providing class materials and scholarships for at-risk and low income children, effectively doubling the amount of scholarship the Garden offers to the summer Adventure Camp and Garden Fresh Cooking Classes.
