SUMMARY:Nature Sunday: Seeds\, plant babies in boxes.
DESCRIPTION:September is a good time of year to think about seeds: what produces them\, what they look like\, where to find them and when to plant for the next year. A scientific presentation on types of seeds\, germination\, storage and uses will be led by Faylla Chapman\, Barb Renshaw and Jeff Reifel and will be followed by a demonstration table and tales of seeds with microscopes to look at them up close. A walk in the garden to discover seeds will follow. \n \nFaylla is a marine biologist and retired science teacher who has turned her talents into informing people about the natural world in a lot of different ways. She is currently a docent at the Botanical Garden and a walk leader for Morro Coast Audubon. \nBarb Renshaw and Jeff Reifel are retired teachers and naturalists who look at the world differently and do their best to tell others about those differences. \nFree registration applies to participation with Nature Sunday topic and covers garden admission for the day. \nPlease note: El Chorro Regional Park requires a $3 park entry fee on weekends and holidays. Having cash ready speeds up check in.
