Free Family Day – Honey Bees & Butterflies

June 9 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Please join us to learn about Monarch butterflies and honey bees in the Children’s Garden during Free Family Day!

Meet local honey bees close up in a special observation hive and taste some honey! Learn the difference between a worker bee, a drone and the Queen. Did you know that a honey bee comes from an egg?

Monarch butterflies are very special to the Central Coast! Learn from some experts about what makes them so unique. And walk our Monarch butterfly trail to learn about Mallory the Monarch!

There will be crafts and activities and seeds you can plant to grow flowers for the pollinators.  As a bonus we’ll be featuring some amazing outdoor model railroad displays from the Central California Coast Garden Railroad Society.

Did you know? We have a Free Family Day every second Sunday of the month with crafts and educational activities for kids and families in our beautiful Children’s Garden, so mark your calendar.

See you in the Garden!
