
Painting Pollinators~Watercolor Workshop with Beth Ostapiuk

Join Beth Ostapiuk at the SLO Botanical Garden for a 3 hour watercolor workshop on the step-by-step process of creating an 8×10 ready to mat/frame watercolor painting. This class is part of an ongoing series that will highlight local pollinators (birds, bees, butterflies) as the focal point.
Participants will learn basic watercolor techniques while they paint the beautiful “Rufus Hummingbird.” This class is designed for adults 18+ of all artistic abilities. No previous experience is required.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own materials (brushes, paint, water bin, paint pallet) if you have them. A limited amount of materials will be available for use or purchase.
About the Instructor Beth Ostapiuk:
Beth is an award-winning California artist with Minnesota roots. She has experience with fiber arts, ceramics, and painting/creating Ukrainian eggs. Beth teaches watercolor and botanical illustration at Allan Hancock College and has taught younger children in public schools. She is a “Signature Member” of the Central Coast Watercolor Society and a returning Art Instructor at La Romita Art school in Italy as well as a member of the Morro Bay Art Association. She has received accolades as “Best of Show” at the Santa Barbara County Fair and other exhibits throughout the country. To learn more about Beth and her artwork, please visit here.
